Nicolas Holiber is a Brooklyn based artist who paints, sculpts, and creates public artwork. Holiber's art is characterized by its unique use of materials and vivid use of color, creating multidimensional works that combine painting, drawing, and sculpture. He is the recipient of several awards and honors including a residency at Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Process Space on Governor’s Island, ArtInPlace Public Sculpture Award in Virginia, Visiting Artist-in-Residence at West Nottingham Academy in Maryland, Postgraduate Fellowship at the New York Academy of Art, and residency at the Leipzig International Art Programme in Germany. Public commissions include LoMan Arts Fest in NYC, Bloomfield College in New Jersey, NYC Parks Department, and NY Health & Racquet Club. Holiber’s work has been featured in Hyperallergic, Mass Appeal, Huffington Post, Arte Fuse, Beautiful/Decay, Artnet, and Rizzoli’s book, The Figure – Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture.
